Mireog

Mireog works across two quite different mediums, and somehow both feel like the same brand: greeting cards that lean properly Irish — a couple of the Christmas ones are printed in Irish alongside English — and a wide run of unisex and women’s t-shirts printed with Irish mythology, folklore and language rather than logos or slogans. Gráinne, the Raven, a Black Sheep, a fiddle player mid-tune, Tír Gan Teanga (“land without language”), Ciaróg, Smugairleroin, Dinn Rí, the King of Tara, a Rebel Goddess — each design borrows a name or image from Irish myth and turns it into something you’d genuinely wear, not a tourist tee. The cards side is smaller but just as considered: a leafy heart design, birthday cards in Irish, and Christmas cards including a reindeer print and a couple with Irish greetings built in. Whether you’re after a card that says something in the cúpla focal or a t-shirt that starts a conversation about who exactly Gráinne was, this is a range built for people who’d rather wear or send a story than a slogan.
