At Chou’s Cottage, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, here is our refund and returns policy.
Returns
You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
Items must be unused, undamaged, and in the condition you received them. Please note we do not require original packaging.
Please pack items carefully for the return journey, ideally using suitable padding or a box, to make sure they arrive back to us in good condition.
Non-returnable items:
- Perishable goods (food, flowers, etc.)
- Cosmetics and personal care items (for hygiene reasons)
- Gift cards
- Custom or personalized items
Refunds
If an item is faulty or damaged, we will cover the return shipping costs and issue a full refund.
If you change your mind, return shipping costs are your responsibility, and the refund will include the product price only.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method (card used at purchase).
If a returned item arrives in a condition that reduces its resale value — for example due to insufficient packaging during the return journey — we may deduct a small amount from your refund to reflect this. We will always let you know before processing it.
Exchanges
- Exchanges are only possible for faulty or damaged items.

Gifts
- If your order was marked as a gift, we will issue a gift credit for the returned item’s value.
- If not, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Shipping Returns
- You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or damaged.
- We recommend using a trackable shipping service for expensive items.
