2. Orders & Acceptance
- Goods remain the property of Chou’s Cottage until paid in full.
- Display of goods on the website does not constitute an offer to sell.
- By placing an order, you make an offer to buy, subject to these terms.
- Orders are only binding once an order confirmation is sent.
- We reserve the right to decline any order without giving a reason.
3. Availability
- If a product is unavailable after your order is accepted, we will notify you.
- You may either cancel the order for a full refund or accept a suitable alternative product.
4. Pricing & VAT
- Prices are as displayed at the time of purchase and include Irish VAT at the applicable rate.
- VAT is charged on all goods sold through the website.
5. Payment
- Payments are collected via credit card, debit card, or Stripe at the time of order confirmation, before goods are shipped.
6. Delivery
- We use reliable shipping services to ensure your order arrives safely.
- Delivery times are estimates; we cannot be held responsible for delays outside our control.

- You are responsible for inspecting goods upon delivery.
- If you are unavailable for delivery, additional delivery charges may apply.
7. Title & Risk
- Title: Ownership passes to the customer when goods are shipped.
- Risk: You are responsible for the goods during shipping unless we agree otherwise in writing.
8. Cancellations & Returns
- You have 14 days from delivery to cancel your order.
- Goods must be unused, undamaged and returned in suitable packaging.
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or damaged.

9. Gift Returns Ireland
- If your order was marked as a gift, we will issue a gift credit for the returned item’s value.
- If the order was not a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
10. Warranties & Liability
- We warrant that:
- We have the right to sell the goods.
- Goods conform to the description and specifications provided.
- Remedies for defective goods:
- Replacement of the item, or
- Refund of the price, or
- Repair if appropriate.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or statutory rights which cannot be excluded under Irish law.
11. Force Majeure
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (strikes, supplier issues, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.).
- If such delays last more than 2 months, either party may terminate the agreement without liability.
12. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by Irish law.
- Exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland applies.
13. Entire Agreement
- These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between the customer and Chou’s Cottage regarding purchases from this website.
