Mireog
Description of Mireog

This t-shirt was designed by Mireog for the Pan Celtic Festival, an annual celebration of Celtic arts, music, language, and culture bringing together communities from across the Celtic nations.

The design features a thoughtful visual interpretation of two closely related proverbs, one in Irish and one in Welsh, highlighting the shared heritage and linguistic connections between Celtic languages.

Irish / Gaeilge:
“Bíonn caora dhubh ar an tréad is gile”
(There tends to be a black sheep even in the whitest flock)

Welsh / Cymraeg:
“Y mae dafad ddu ym mhob praidd”
(Every flock has its black sheep)

This design playfully reflects individuality within community, celebrating diversity, identity, and the richness of Celtic storytelling traditions.

Each t-shirt is screen-printed in Co. Waterford by Mireog using water-based inks on soft 100% organic cotton Earth Positive fabric.

Ethically produced using renewable wind and solar energy, these t-shirts are designed with sustainability and comfort in mind.

Available in different colours, this design offers a versatile and meaningful piece of Celtic-inspired clothing.

Care instructions:
Wash at 30°C to preserve the print and fabric quality.
