‘Duilleoga na hÉireann’ (Leaves of Ireland)
This women’s t-shirt celebrates the beauty of Irish trees, language, and Celtic mythology through an intricate botanical design inspired by Ireland’s natural heritage.
Each leaf illustration is formed using Irish words connected to its tree and its meaning in folklore and mythology. The design includes Alder, Birch, Hawthorn, Elder, Pine, Oak, Blackthorn, Ash, and Hazel — trees deeply rooted in Irish tradition and storytelling.
Alongside each leaf (or pinecone), the corresponding Ogham symbol is featured. Ogham is an ancient Irish alphabet believed to date back to the 4th century, still visible today on historic Ogham stones found across Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, and parts of Britain.
Often referred to as the Tree Alphabet, Ogham reflects the strong spiritual and cultural connection between trees and Celtic traditions. This design honours Ireland’s rich folklore, ancient language, and deep relationship with nature.
Each t-shirt is screen-printed by Mireog in Co. Waterford using water-based inks on beautifully soft 100% organic cotton Earth Positive fabric.
Ethically made using renewable wind and solar energy, these t-shirts are designed with sustainability, comfort, and quality in mind. The print is heat-cured for durability and can be washed at 30°C.
Sizing note:
These t-shirts are designed with a relaxed women’s fit. For a more fitted look, we recommend choosing one size down. Please compare measurements with a favourite fitting t-shirt before ordering.
A meaningful piece of Irish design combining Celtic mythology, Irish language, and sustainable fashion.
