Welcome to Chou’s Cottage! We are Julie & Paul, a French couple who moved to Ireland in 2016 to start a new life. In March 2018, we opened our shop in Clonmel, County Tipperary, with the aim of supporting small Irish designers and makers and sharing unique, handmade products with our community.
We now proudly work with over 70 Irish artisans, offering a wide range of handmade goods, including baby items, ceramics, skincare, clothes, candles, greeting cards, jewellery, and more. Every item in our shop is carefully selected with love, focusing on quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
In 2025, we expanded our shop to include a refill and zero-waste section, allowing our customers to reduce single-use packaging and make more sustainable choices while shopping.
Nature is at the heart of our lives and inspires everything we do, from selecting handmade goods to curating unique products from Irish artisans. We spend our time renovating our little Irish cottage, tending our garden, and planning a future forest garden. We also enjoy foraging wild mushrooms and plants, hiking, travelling, and most of all, watching the birds in our garden.
Julie launched Tiny Studio in early 2023, creating pieces inspired by the beauty of the Irish landscape, flora, and wildlife. Her creations are a reflection of our shared love for nature and the environment.
Every purchase from Chou’s Cottage supports a small Irish business, which brings us immense joy and allows us to continue sharing our passion for handmade products, Irish design, and nature-inspired creations.
